No better way to celebrate Maslenitsa then by cooking blini with family and friends! These delicious blini are great with sour cream and sugar, jam, or anything you’d like. This recipe was originally created by Svetlany Fadeevoy.

Recipie for Blini:
– 2 cups of warm milk
– 1 cup of water
– 2 eggs
– Three table spoons of vegetable oil
– 1 packet of fast activating yeast (the recipe works without the yeast too!)
– 3 cups of flour
– 1/2 a teaspoon of salt
– 2 tablespoons of sugar

Mix the wet ingredients and dry ingredients separately and then mix together with a whisk in a large mixing bowl. The batter should be very runny. Let the batter sit for 10 minutes. Grease up a pan with pan spray and ladle the batter into a hot pan. Spread the batter around by lifting the pan and tilting it around until the batter is spread evenly through the pan. Cook till golden brown on both sides. Serve with anything you like!
