June 30, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 8:00 pm

$10 – $15

ArtLinks invites everyone to “Ivana Kupala” Celebration – the pagan holiday that relates to the summer solstice when nights are the shortest and includes a number of Slavic rituals. It is celebrated in Ukraine, Poland, Belarus and Russia and now we bring this holiday to Eugene.

***
Come to 27423 Erickson Rd, Eugene, OR, 97402 on June, 30, 2019 at 11 AM and you will have a chance to experience ancient Slavic holiday with traditional rituals.

***
We will have workshops of doll-making and weaving wreath of flowers – traditional attributes of the holiday.
We will play so many games with kids & adults and will search for ferns bloom. There is an ancient Kupala belief that the eve of Ivan Kupala is the only time of the year when ferns bloom. Prosperity, luck, discernment, and power befall whoever finds a fern flower.
We will sing songs and do the traditional dancing and khorovod around the fire. On Kupala day, young people jump over the flames of bonfires in a ritual test of bravery and faith. So adults could test your bravery and have lots of fun.
You will also have a chance to enjoy delicious traditional food and barbecue.

***
Places are limited so book them in advance. Admission for adults 15$/person, for kids 3-12 y.o.- 10$/per person. Price for members -10$ for an adult, 5$ for a kid 3-12 y.o. Food&drinks included.
